A two-year full-time course The CourseThe Advanced Diploma of Ministry course aims to provide a foundation of biblical knowledge and ministry skills in order to prepare men and women for informed participation in the life of the church. It provides a foundation for lay Christian ministry. The elective subjects offered reflect an emphasis on preparing people for lay ministry in the church and cross-cultural mission. Mission organizations generally recognise this course as adequate training in biblical studies for many aspects of missionary service. Those preparing for cross-cultural ministry may, with permission, choose as electives, missions subjects offered at degree level if they are not available at diploma level. Entrance RequirementsStudents are normally admitted upon satisfactory completion of Year 12 in an Australian school system or equivalent, but consideration will be given to other factors such as practical experience, maturity and motivation in the likelihood of future success. Provisional mature age entry is available for students over the age of 20. Course RequirementsThe Advanced Diploma of Ministry course is composed of compulsory and elective subjects, normally taken over four semesters (two years). A total of 64 credit points (16 units), including four credit points for Integrate (Guided Spiritual Formation), are required. Students are also encouraged to do 4cps in Field Education. Students must complete 16 cps (4 units) at 300-400 level (degree level). Full time students usually study four subjects each semester. Students may study part-time.
