Principal of CollegeBA, BD(Distinction), GradDipEd, ThM, PhD Lecturer in Biblical and Oriental Studies Johan was born and grew up in South Africa. He studied at the Reformed Theological College in Geelong, at the University of Queensland, the University of New England and at Princeton Theological Seminary in the USA. Johan is married to DeGuang. They have two children, Hannah and David. Johan is an enthusiastic teacher and researcher with a diversity of interests. He has published noteworthy works in Biblical Studies and Oriental Christianity. He is also working in the interdisciplinary areas of Manichaeism, Syriac Christianity, and early Chinese Culture and Civilisation. Johan joined the faculty in 1996 and became head of college at the beginning of 2009. He lectures in the area of languages and biblical studies. |
